I'm running because Boston touched me at so many levels. First, I had friends there. There were some scary minutes before I knew they were all safe. Then there was the realization that my family has stood on countless finishing lines, supporting me, watching for me to finish. That could have been them, that could have been me, except for the whole qualifying for boston thing :-) The lives of those impacted by the bombing will be forever changed. Why? Because they went to race, or support their loved one in a race. This relay is a way to show solidarity to those runners, and to help them in some small way. Finally, we will NOT be terrorized!
