MARY COSTA | stage 1 | CA
I'm running because I have immense pride for Boston's character and resilience. Having grown up in Southern New Hampshire and attended Emerson College, I've always considered Boston to be my hometown city. Even though I now live in Los Angeles, this city will always hold a very special place in my heart. The Boston Marathon bombings impacted so many people, and they hit especially close to home for me after a friend was badly injured by the finish line. I'm running in honor of her and her family, who have shown incredible strength, positivity, and love while she makes her way to a full recovery.
