I'm taking part because the Boston Marathon holds a lot of significance in my life and is something that is now close to my heart. My whole family (my mom, dad, and 2 older brothers) were at the Boston Marathon last year; my mom was there to support my dad and brothers, who were running. My mom was standing 1/2 a block in between each explosion, and the time the explosion occurred was my dad and one of my brothers projected finish time. I could not be any more thankful, blessed, lucky, or appreciative that they were not harmed. I'm running in honor of all those who were affected by the events that unfolded at last years marathon. Boston strong.
