I'm running because I was a civilian first responder for Brittany Loring, who was severely injured by the Marathon Bombings. I am running for her and the day that changed my life. This will be a way to honor her and her journey through her recovery and remember all those who witnessed that day.
I will also be running for my friend and personal trainer Jason Sibley-Liddle. Jay got his bib to run the Marathon a few days before the race. He didn't train, yet decided to run the 26.2 miles anyways. He was a 1/2 mile from crossing the finish line when the blasts went off.
I look forward to running and finishing, for all who were affected.
