I'm running because ORFB I & II are the embodiment of President Obama's comments after the Marathon Bombing:
"Boston is a tough and resilient town. So are its people. I'm supremely confident that Bostonians will pull together, take care of each other, and move forward as one proud city. And as they do, the American people will be with them every single step of the way.
And this time next year on the third Monday in April, the world will return to this great American city to run harder than ever and to cheer even louder for the 118th Boston Marathon.
Bet on it."
I want to run this April to help encourage others to view the 2014 Boston Marathon in a hopeful and positive light while paying respect to those families and individuals still battling for normalcy and for Martin Richard, Krystle Campbell, Lingzi Zu and Sean Collier. The Marathon should not be a time for fear but a time to remember, honor, and move forward bravely into the new legacy of the Marathon spirit. Please consider supporting ORFB II in raising $1 million for the One Fund by donating or registering to run a stage!
